Matthew 16:13–20
▶ Listen and Reflect
THE SEED
“And you, who do you say I am?”
Jesus doesn't just ask what others say. His question reaches the heart of each disciple: Who is He to me? Peter responds with faith: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” His answer isn't just a learned idea; it's the beginning of a relationship, a trust, and a mission.
We too can know many things about Jesus, and yet we need to respond to him personally. Acknowledging him as Lord means allowing his word to guide our decisions, our relationships, and our way of serving. Faith becomes firm when it ceases to be merely a response from others and becomes our own.
FOR CHILDREN — LITTLE SEEDS

A question to reflect on:
If Jesus asked you today, “Who do you say I am?”, what would you answer with your life?
Jesus asked his friends who they thought he was. Peter replied that Jesus was the Son of God.

Question:
Who is Jesus to you and how can you show him that you are his friend?
Think about this:
This week, do something that shows your friendship with Jesus: help someone, forgive, share, or spend a few minutes in prayer.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, you are the Messiah and the Son of the living God. Help us to know you, to trust in you, and to respond to you not only with words, but also with our lives. Strengthen our faith so that we may share your love with others. Amen.
